Scheme - Characteristics

Characteristics

Non-competitive and Self-challenging:

Opportunities are numerous, yet competition is radical. Young people are often tired of having to fulfill the goals of their parents and teachers. Yet, HKAYP allows and encourages participants to choose freely and challenge themselves, which helps them to build up confidence.

Five Sections of Activities:

The five Sections of activities enable a balanced development of young people. The great varieties of activities help young people to understand more about the society, train their will and bodies, learn new knowledge and improve their interpersonal skill.

Well-planned and organized Life Pattern:

Young people nowadays often do not hold clear objectives for life. Yet HKAYP requires participants to have a good planning of their own leisure time with clear goals.

Adult Supporting Network:

Along the path in quest of the Award, adult volunteers offer support and guidance to our young people. Adults are not only young people's guide, but also their friends. This is extremely important when young people come to face obstacles/difficulties. In fact, the Award leaders and volunteers can be a very helpful supporting network for our young people.

Social Recognition:

We view the efforts paid by our young people of great importance. In recognition of their achievement, presentation ceremonies will be arranged with awards to be presented by the celebrities. The Gold Award will be presented by The Chief Executive of HKSAR.
